WSQHA Honors Jamie Solomon

To honor Jamie Solomon’s memory, this year’s Washington State Quarter Horse Association is awarding a $1,000 to the year end high point Amateur Western Pleasure exhibitor. Solomon lost her battle with cancer last year and was a well known exhibitor who loved the western pleasure classes.

“Her parents wanted to do something special in her honor,” says Jeff Williams, who was a close friend of Jamie’s. “I actually discussed it with them at the AQHA World Show last year, and they decided it would provide incentive for young people like Jamie to show their pleasure horses throughout the year. Their plan is to personally be at the year end award’s banquets to make the check presentation in person. I also think it’s a nice way for them to stay somewhat involved in WSQHA.”
