ATHENS, Ga.- Georgia equestrian head coach Meghan Boenig has announced the signing of Chaney Getchell, who will begin her career with the Bulldogs in the 2015-16 season. Getchell is the daughter of Tim and Kelly Getchell.
“Chaney is a great addition to Georgia equestrian,” said Boenig. “She brings academic and athletic commitment, experience and excellence. It has been a pleasure getting to know her and her family during the recruiting process. I am excited for the contributions she will make to the team.”
The Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. native brings with her 13 years of riding experience in the Western discipline. Getchell rode to two top-ten finishes at the 2014 AQHA Congress in Youth Western Riding and Trail. She also finished in the top-15 at the 2015 AQHYA Youth World Championship in Trail. In 2013, she was the AQHA Novice Reserve Champion in Youth Trail and the Novice Champion in Youth Western Riding.
