Hi, my name is Nadine Joaquin and I have been breeding Quarter Horses for almost 15 years. Joaquin Quarter Horses is located in Northern California. I am a memeber of AQHA, NSBA, WCHA and PCQHA. I have served as a Director on the Board of Directors for the Pacific Coast Quarter Horses Association.
I am the owner of Joaquin Quarter horses. My goal is to produce World class western pleasure horses as well as true all around horses that excell at many different events. I don’t believe all great mares bred to great stallions produce great foals so I very particular about which mare is bred to which stallion. There are alot of really talented stallions out there to pick from but the secret is choosing the one who compliments a particular mare. Above all we breed for great minds, conformation, and movement. No matter how great of a mover a horse is it has to be a pleasure to handle and ride.
We only breed a few mares a year. I believe in quality not quantity. We only breed the top bloodlines in the industry including Blazing Hot, One Hot Krymsun, Zips Chocolate Chip, Chipped In Chocolate, A Good Machine, Invitation Only, The Invitation, Vested Pine, Hot Rodders Jet Set, Green With Invy, Leaguers Sandman, and Boston Mac.
All of our weanlings lead, trailer and are handled daily so they are good for the ferrier, worming and shots. They are equally happy in a stall or pasture with other horses. All our our foals are AQHA and NSBA Incentive Fund. In addition to the weanlings we usually have a couple of yearlings, and a few two or three year olds that have been started for sale. All of our foals, broodmares and sires can be seen on our website at www.joaquinqh.com and our You Tube Chanel at www.youtube.com/nadinejoaquin
For the past couple of years I have been showing my gelding “Heza Zip Investment” in the Western Pleasure. He has a Superior in Open and Amateur Western Pleasure. He has qualified for the World and Bayer Select in Open, Amateur and Select the last several years. He was the PCQHA Year End High Point Champion in 2007 and just recently won both the Select Western Pleasure and the Senior Western Pleasure (shown by me 🙂 at the Region Seven Show. We are looking forward to starting Trail and Horsemanship after the Bayer Select World Show this year.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Richard Joaquin, and we have six children and four grandchildren. I also breed Imperial (smaller) Shih Tzu dogs which can be seen on my website www.ohlaladesignershihtzu.com
