AQHYA Winning Run: Yearling Mares

A
couple of home-girls from Sparta, New Jersey, took home the gold trophy
in yearling mares Saturday at the 2010 Ford Youth World. Abigail Pait,
showing a filly bred by Peter J. Cofrancesco Farms, where Abigail’s
father, Jeffrey, trains, successfully defended her world title in the
class she won last year with Taryn Rose (another home-bred from
Cofrancesco Farms) last year. With tears in her eyes, Abigail told the
Journal how gratifying it is to show and win with a horse that she saw be born and has worked with from the beginning.
