AQHYA Winning Run: Three-Year-Old Geldings

“He
just keeps on improving,” Travis Sancken says of his gelding, How Do Ya
Like Menow. The duo won the 3-year-old geldings at the 2010 Built Ford
Tough AQHYA World Championship Show. Travis and How Do Ya Like Menow,
aka “Toby’,” were the 2-year-old geldings reserve world champions at the
2009 Ford Youth World. “He just got a lot bigger,” Travis says. “Last
year he was short and stocky, but this year he just grew.” The future is
in the air for Travis and Toby — Travis enjoys showing younger halter
horses, such as yearlings, 2- and 3-year-olds, but he thinks he might
just stick with Toby.
