AQHYA Winning Run: Trail

The
Tim Kimura-designed finals trail course at the 2010 Built Ford Tough
AQHYA World Championship Show may have had nice flow and rhythm, but it
was not to be taken lightly. “I liked the pattern — I like Tim Kimura’s
patterns,” says the newly-crowned trail youth world champion Alyssa
Neiberger. “It actually flowed really well. Some parts were good, some
parts were hard. It was a lot tighter than what I thought when I walked
it.” This was Alyssa’s fourth year at the Ford Youth World, but it was
her first time walking out of the Jim Norick Arena with a gold trophy in
hand. She credits her win to her phenomenal gelding, Credits For
Heaven; her parents, Todd and Lisa Neiberger; her horse trainer, AQHA
Professional Horseman Kelly McDowall; Rebecca Ries and AQHA Professional
Horsewoman Vicky Holt, who sold her “Hatch;” and all of her friends and
supporters who also ride with Kelly.
