Gordyville Turkey Run held in Gifford, Illinois, was a very successful weekend boasting more than 1800 entries with three days of showing. The show was up by 100 stalls. Gordyville has gone to a $150 fee for the weekend that covers all classes for one horse and one back number.
Saturday night, everyone enjoyed our “Waisted Away Day” appropriately named for an after Thanksgiving feast. Exhibitors cooked or made their favorite food or drink and shared with everyone at each other’s stalls. The Seth and Cassandra Marlatt team won for their great human food and drink as well as “The Doggy Diner”.
Great prizes included embroidered vests awarded to all AQHA circuit award winners and Centerback pads were awarded to the all arounds. Put the next Gordyville show on your schedule. They will go to a 4 judge, 2 day show for 2011 on February 5 & 6.
