Sunday, October 21st was a big day at the All American Quarter Horse Congress. On the south side of the fairgrounds, the National Youth Activity Team Tournament in full swing in the Coliseum, and on the north side, the Congress Super Sale drew huge crowds to the Lausche building.
Overall, the sale was a success, with 164 horses sold, and only 31 no sales. With an average of $5,396.34, and total sales totaling more than $885,000, Mike Jennings of Professional Horse Services was very pleased.
“This is a great marketplace and we had an excellent set of horses across the board,” Jennings said. “Even though we were down a little bit from last year, our percentage sold was still up above 80 percent, which is great even in a good economy.”
Radical Chocolate was the high seller at $38,000. The 2009 brown mare is by Radical Rodder and out of RU Hot For Chocolate.
