GoHorseShow has learned that multiple Congress Champion and two-time AQHA Reserve World Champion, Only In Showbiz (Juan) was recently purchased by Alexandra Chavez of Paradise Valley, Arizona.
Youth Kaylee Mellott and the 2007 brown gelding by Invitation Only and out of the late great, Show Diva just returned from the All American Quarter Horse Congress where she was named All-Around Champion for the second year in a row. This duo were Congress Champions in the 15-18 Youth Horsemanship as well as the NYATT Horsemanship and NYATT Hunter Under Saddle under the supervision of Jason Martin, Charlie Cole and Beth Case of Highpoint Performance Horses.
“Juan is the best horse I have ever had a chance to own,” Kaylee told GoHorseShow. “He is such a good boy and would do anything anyone asked of him. He has the biggest personality and is extremely goofy. He was always making me laugh and making my day. I tended to spoil him a lot with mints and lots of food because he always deserved it.”
Kaylee continues, “He is such a huge part of me and always will be. He made my dreams come true and I was so blessed and fortunate to own him while I did. I know he will impact Alex’s life like he did mine!”
Alexandra Chavez will add Only In Showbiz to her already very stout show string. Chavez owns Best Sign Yet who was the 2013 Congress Champion $10,000 Maturity Limited Western Pleasure with Katie Green, Bestseatnthehouse who was just Reserve Congress Champion in the Masters Western Pleasure with Rusty Green, as well as Beautiful Maiden, the 2012 AQHA World Champion in Senior Hunter Under Saddle with Stacy Huls.
Chavez says that she plans to show Juan in the horsemanship, equitation, and western riding.
“I thought Juan would be the perfect horse to teach me the pattern classes. I’m very excited about him and grateful to Kaylee for the opportunity to show such an amazing horse,” Chavez states. “I am anxious to see him show at the AQHA World Show with Charlie Cole in the western riding and look forward to 2014.”
