2013 AQHYA Horsemanship Champion Overberg Signs with Gamecocks

COLUMBIA, S.C. – COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of South Carolina equestrian coach Boo Major announced today the signing of 2013 AQHYA horsemanship champion Megan Overberg (Hillsboro, Ohio/Hillsboro High School) to a national letter of intent to join the Gamecock equestrian program for the 2014-2015 season. Overberg will ride with Carolina’s western team and will compete for the Gamecocks in horsemanship.

“We’re really excited to have Megan join us for next season, we think she is going to be a great addition to our team,” Major said. “We think she is a fantastic horsemanship rider and she’s also an all-around athletic talent. She’s a very successful student in the classroom and we’re looking forward to having her for the next four years.”
