PF Candids & Results from Bavarian Summer Show, Kreuth, Germany

The AQHA/NSBA Bavarian Summer Show was held the first week of July in Kreuth, Germany. Featuring four AQHA shows and the NSBA European Championships.

“This show is one of the most prestigious shows all over Europe. The icing on the cake was the perfect weather, 90+ degrees and sun every day,” says Arne Kuhn, a trainer from Germany. “The NSBA European Championship classes were of the highest quality, filled with European Champions, German Champions and Futurity Champions in all divisions.”

NSBA of Germany President, Martina Braun, is proud of their show, “This was definitely one of the strongest European Championships we ever had. The horses were of outstanding quality and the riders showed them to their best.”

This show also included the finals of the ‘Golden Series’, which is a program for western pleasure, trail, showmanship and western riding. The competitors had to qualify through two go rounds at the Bavarian Spring Classic and the Bavarian Championship Show. Amateur Franca Bartke, who just won the Golden Series finals in the showmanship for the second year in a row, states, “These classes are unique. They have a very special atmosphere for both, exhibitors and spectators. With more than $46,000 in prize money, the Series finals are some of the top classes of the year.”

Thanks to Arne Kuhn for the fabulous candids and rundown from the show.
