The 2014 TQHA Circuit took place September 12-14th in Murfreesboro, TN at the Miller Coliseum. With more than 235 stalls booked going into the weekend, the show looked to be a good one—and it sure was! Healthy class sizes coupled with good, friendly competition was the trend for the weekend. Keith Miller, Liz Baker, Dawn Clason, and Tina Anderson judged the circuit.
The show kicked off Friday night with Trail and several two and three point classes. In true southern hospitality, TQHA hosted a pizza party for all exhibitors Friday night. The Tennessee Amateur Quarter Horse Association provided cold water all weekend-long for the exhibitors.
Strong class numbers and fierce competition continued into Saturday with 22 entries in Amateur Performance Halter Geldings and notable participation in Showmanship classes from Select and Amateurs. Saturday’s Western Pleasure and Horsemanship classes saw several two and three point classes also. The upward trend of the Ranch Horse Pleasure classes also continued.
On Sunday, fences classes had more than 75 trips over the beautiful course designed by Anne Brzezicki. The MTSU Equestrian Team served as the jump crew for the weekend—big thanks to them! The Hunter Under Saddle and Hunt-Seat Equitation classes saw good participation also.
Several vendors were in attendance: Show Diva and Henson’s H Bar along with a show clothes and equipment consignment sale. The show’s photographer was SoCo Media and Design. Photos from the show can be viewed by clicking here.
Class prizes were useful items such as utility hooks, vet wrap, grooming blocks, hoof picks, and water bottles. All-Around Awards were etched leather plaques from ARC.
