Oak Carter Simper Obituary and Funeral Details

Funeral services have been announced for Oak Carter Simper.

Oak Carter Simper, our sweet little cowboy, made his last ride back home to our Father in Heaven on June 30, 2024.

Oak joined Marty and Jodi on October 4, 2021 following his big brother Stihl. He was known as our 10-4 baby and was a true blessing right from the start. He always carried a light and a smile that was contagious. His spirit could fill up an entire room. He was happiest when he was outside working with his dad and he wanted to be just like him. His heroes have always been cowboys and his dad was greatest of them all in Oak’s eyes. Whether that was in the show arena, barn, tractor, or on the living room floor playing ranch, he was his dad’s little shadow. He couldn’t ever get too far from his mom though, Oak was a mama’s boy. He was her tiniest and biggest best friend, and she was his ultimate comfort. There were very few nights that she did not rock him to sleep and she always considered that their special time together. She will miss those sweet cuddles.

You would hardly see him without a tractor in hand, or a cowboy hat on top his head. He was born a cowboy. He loved to steal his older brother’s power wheel tractor and drive it around doing chores. He loved visiting grandma and grandpa first thing in the morning, and would come running happily home after grandma fed him a well-rounded breakfast of ice cream and gummy bears. It was no wonder that was his first stop of the day.

Oak was loved by all that knew him. He had an infectious smile that drew everyone in. His perfect little laugh filled our home with the sweetest sounds of love. We will miss him dearly every day until our joyful reunion that we are so anxiously awaiting.

Oak is survived by his parents, Marty and Jodi Simper and older brother Stihl. He continues to be loved by his grandparents, Wayne and Dixie Simper, and Dale and Ralene Carter. Along with many aunts and uncles Scott and Anna Simper, Milo Simper, Rusty and Katie Simper, Kelly and Les (Simper) McCrosky and Brandon and Nikki Lund, Cortney and Ashlee Pace, and Leslie Carter, and many cousins.

He was greeted on the other side by Great Grandparents Norma and Pete Giacoma, Oak and Selma Simper, Harvey and Norine Carter, and Dean and Fae Corey, and cousin Kolbi Rae.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Tremonton West Stake Center (345 S 1000 W- Tremonton). A visitation will be held the night before, Sunday, July 7, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Simper residence (7545 W 8800 N- Tremonton). Oak’s resting place will be at the Park Valley Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to accompany Oak and his family with a cowboy procession on horseback on their way to the cemetery.
