Michigan Paint Horse Club wins 2022 Youth Team Tournament

Congrats to Team Michigan on winning the AjPHA Youth Team Tournament.
AjPHA members came together to compete in the annual HorseIQ Youth Team Tournament June 24 at Will Rodgers Memorial Center in conjunction with the APHA World Championship Show. Youth members on four teams earned points in up to five performance classes, including showmanship, hunt-seat equitation, horsemanship, ranch riding, and walk-trot pleasure 5-10. Teams could earn more points and show off their knowledge of the APHA Rule Book in a Jeopardy-style competition, and they then competed head to head to complete horse-related activities in the knowledge relay.

After loads of fun and great teamwork, the final results are:

  • Champion Overall – Team Michigan
  • Reserve Champion Overall – Team Texas
  • 3rd Place Overall – Team Illinois
  • 4th Place Overall – Team Best of the West

Congratulations to all of the Youth Team Tournament participants for their hard work!
