Exhibitors at the Nutrena AQHA East Level 1 Championships saddled up their American Quarter Horses on April 27 for the opening day of competition at the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, Ohio. The show kicked off at 7 a.m. with Rookie youth working hunter in the Sanctuary Arena. Over the five days of competition, exhibitors will vie for top honors across a full slate of Level 1, Rookie and walk-trot classes along with more than $100,000 in purse and prizes.
The Nutrena East Level 1 offers a variety of fun events and activities for competitors, friends, family and spectators alike to take part in throughout the show, including free Nutrena Ride the Pattern clinics taught by AQHA Professional Horsemen.
New for 2022, exhibitors placing in the top 15 in the core classes at either the 2022 Nutrena AQHA East, Nutrena AQHA West or AQHA Cattle Level 1 Championships, presented by the Four Sixes Ranch, will have the opportunity to earn a spot to compete for overall Nutrena Level 1 Champion of Champions titles at their respective world championship show.

The Nutrena AQHA East and Nutrena AQHA West Level 1 Championships are the pinnacle events for Level 1, Rookie and walk-trot competitors around the world. Level 1 cattle events will be offered at the AQHA Cattle Level 1 Championships, presented by the Four Sixes Ranch, during the 2022 AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships June 21-25 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
