At this year’s AQHA World Championship Show, an event like no other, the horse show industry saw many unforgettable moments as new champions were crowned. Some were winners for the first time, and some repeated to keep their winning streaks alive.
In total, more than 8,500 entries competed for 290 championship titles, 104 Farnam AQHA World championships; 44 Adequan® Select World championships; 85 Adequan® Level 2 championships; and 40 Nutrena Level 1 championships, plus more than $2 million in purse, prizes, and the coveted gold globes at this year’s event that ran through November 20th.
Several records were broken this year, including Blake Weis and Snap It Send It in the Junior Trail, with a record-breaking score of a 249.5. In their last ride together, Jason Martin and Hez A Radical Zip broke the record in the Senior Western Riding with a score of a 248. Not to mention Highpoint Performance Horses kept their winning streak alive with 17 in a row of their horses winning the Senior Western Riding. Extremely Good Stuff also broke the record in the Senior Trail with John Briggs with a score of a 248.5.Â
Professional photographer and videographer Danielle Long of Attention to Detail was at this year’s World Show for GoHorseShow to capture many of these extraordinary moments from a variety of different events throughout the show.
