WACO, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced Monday the 2022, 2023 and 2024 NCEA National Championships will be hosted at the World Equestrian Center – Ocala in Ocala, Fla.
Auburn University will serve as the host institution for the 2022 NCEA National Championship. The championships are set to take place at World Equestrian Center – Ocala on April 14-16, 2022, April 2023 and April 2024. This year’s event will feature a NCEA National Dual Discipline Title and a Single Discipline Title.
“Auburn looks forward with tremendous anticipation to serving as the host institution for the 2022 National Collegiate Equestrian Association championships at the World Equestrian Center,” director of athletics Allen Greene said. “The combination of Ocala’s rich equestrian tradition, a world-class venue and Auburn’s six-time national championship program under head coach Greg Williams will make for an unforgettable event for student-athletes and fans.”
“The World Equestrian Center in Ocala is a premier venue for equestrian,” Williams added. “For an NCAA sport to be showcased there is exciting. I believe that the venue and the people of Ocala will take ownership of this championship because it brings the highest level of collegiate competition in the sport to the city known for equestrian.”
The NCEA is composed of 19 teams of female student-athletes from colleges and universities across the nation. Only eight dual discipline-schools will qualify for the championship, with four single-discipline teams invitations extended as well.
