About the Cover
Featured on the December Holiday Issue of GoMag is FG Born Legacy, owned by Linda Gordon of Fossil Gate Farms in Argyle, Texas. This gorgeous, double registered AQHA/APHA, buckskin stallion is by FG A Tru Fella and out of the five-time AQHA World Champion mare, I Execute Class.
This past year, the 2016 buckskin stud won the Breeders’ Halter Futurity in the Two-Year-Old Stallions and was recently crowned the AQHA Reserve World Champion in the Two-Year-Old Stallions with Buddy Laney. “Legacy” will also be shown next near, as well as stand to the public.
“He is paid up in the BHF Open, Color Open, and Amateur Divisions. He will also be paid up in the WCHA Futurity. Along with being very pretty, Legacy is a beautiful mover and a fun horse to be around. We test bred a couple of mares last year and did a couple of shipments. All was good,” Gordon shares.
Fossil Gate Farms trainer, Buddy Laney tells us about Legacy’s strongest traits and why mare owners should breed to him. “He is very correct and deep-hearted. His neck ties in high and he has a strong back,” Laney states. “He has great legs and is good boned. Legacy is also excellent minded and has a great pedigree, top and bottom.”
Laney adds, “Not to mention, his beautiful buckskin color and him being double registered helps set him apart from other stallions.”
