APHA is pleased to welcome Megan McMullen as the association’s new director of Youth & Amateur activities. In this role, Megan will develop initiatives and direct the planning and implementation of activities that will grow the programs and enhance the Youth and Amateur member experience. She will also assist with show events and activities in the performance awards program.
Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Megan has called Fort Worth home for the past six years. A longtime horse show competitor, she grew up competing in all-around events and was recruited to ride on the Texas Christian University Equestrian Team. She graduated in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing from TCU’s Neeley School of Business and has been working in the marketing sector ever since.
Megan brings a unique perspective to the position and is eager to dive in.
“I am truly excited to join the APHA organization and become part of such a dedicated and professional team,” she said. “I look forward to combining my passion for the equine industry with my business experience, and I can’t wait to meet the members and hopefully help enhance their APHA experience.”
APHA’s Senior Director of Judges, Shows & Education, Dave Dellin, is looking forward to Megan’s arrival.
“I could not be more excited to have Megan join our team. Her background in the industry, knowledge of marketing and event coordination are going to be great assets to APHA,” he said.
Megan begins her work with APHA on November 25 and looks forward to meeting members at the upcoming 2020 APHA Convention in February.
