About the Show

Exhibitors can participate in fun-filled events taking place at the 2019 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show. American Quarter Horse Youth Association members will be able to compete in a variety of activities throughout the show August 1-10 at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.

The AQHYA Horse Judging, speech and art/photo contests are just some of the contests offered. Throughout the show, Ford Youth World teams will also be competing for points in a team-spirit contest. View the tentative schedule of events under schedule at www.aqha.com/youthworld.

The 2019 youth teams will all be recognized August 5 during the Parade of Teams. The 2018 AQHYA year-end high-point winners will also be recognized during the Parade of Teams. All youth teams and youth high-point winners will be honored in front of their peers, friends and family for their accomplishments. The 2019-20 AQHYA Executive Committee and regional directors will also be introduced at this year’s Parade of Teams.

AQHA Professional Horsemen have volunteered their time to give free Ride the Pattern clinics, presented by Nutrena. These free clinics give exhibitors and spectators the perfect opportunity to learn how AQHA Professional Horsemen would approach a class or pattern. Donations will be accepted at each clinic for the Professional Horsemen’s Crisis Fund. Nutrena will generously match all contributions made at the show, dollar for dollar. View the tentative clinics, dates and clinicians.

Other events include a church service at 9 a.m. on August 4, followed by The Paws Cause, a dog adoption event at 11 a.m. Both will be held in the Sales Pavilion (Barn 3). Ford Youth World attendees have the opportunity to visit with colleges and universities at the college fair 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 6 and 7 in Section 300 in the Jim Norick Arena.

Exhibitors, friends and family are also invited to attend an exhibitor party on Thursday, August 8. Swing by the AQHA Candy Shop from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Super Barn. Fill your candy bag with your favorite sweet treats and enjoy an afternoon with friends and family.

If you are competing at this year’s Ford Youth World, be sure to share the link to the free live webcast with your friends and family who can’t join you in Oklahoma City this year. A link to the webcast will be posted at www.aqha.com/youthworld during the show.
