GoHorseShow’s Top 10 Funny Pictures of Horses at Horse Shows

Nothing beats a funny picture with your equine partner and good laughs with friends. Photos evoke special memories and recreate moments you share with others.

When you get that “perfect shot,” it is priceless. Whether it be after winning a Congress championship or just a simple candid, humorous pictures are good for the soul.

After all, laughter is the best medicine. We have compiled some of the funniest pictures from over the years. Here is our Top 10 list.

1) Photos like this reflect that pure joy and give a good laugh all around. Our number one picture is of legends, Charlie Cole and Ima Petite Classic at the Congress. “Kramer” is infamous for sticking his tongue out. It is important to take the time to relax and have fun at horse shows, whether it be a weekend show or the World Show. (pictured above left)

2) It is crucial to “dress to impress” in the show pen. These two take the cake. Many judges will tell you they love to see a clean, well-shaped hat in the arena. Well, it looks like this team has double the style.

3) “Hey, hey, what are you doing?”

“Do you have any extra hay you could sneak over here?”

Horses, despite their size, can be quite stealthy. They get into mischief which sometimes turns destructive, especially when hay or treats are involved. The best part about this picture is the innocent “Oh, hi there, mom” look. Pictured here is Aint Gota Lot “Bob” visiting his neighbor in Florida.

4) While our equine partners can be mischievous, they are also quite helpful even when it comes to mucking out their stall. Though, what is better than your horse assisting you with barn chores?

5) “Say CHEESE.”
This picture is priceless. It is the epitome of horse show joy. The energy is so positive, and it proves that laughter is contagious.

6) Exhibitors work tirelessly in hopes of achieving their ultimate goals. When those dreams come true, they are invaluable. This picture encompasses that joy and pride while also adding an element of humor.

7) Every exhibitor has struggled with trying to take a cute picture in the stall at one point or another. Usually, the horse decides not to cooperate with your goal. However, this horse thought it would be nice to sit up for the photo. And she did not give up.

8) It’s a wig. It’s a forelock extension. No, it’s mom’s tail. This foal wanted new luscious locks. What better way than to play dress up with mom? A little diva in the making.

9) It seems that everyone in this picture got the memo, tongues out. Photos like this exemplify the fun between friends and horses. These types of photos are irreplaceable and worth a good laugh.

10) This picture does not include a horse; however, it does feature man’s best friend. Horse show dogs are the source of many laughs and fond memories. This picture screams, “Are you ready yet? Let’s go” while also highlighting the actual exhaustion of horse showing.
