Harvey Spicer Passes at 81

Harvey Spicer, 81, of Sanger, Texas passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018.

Funeral services will be at 2:00PM, Sunday, February 25, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Dean, Texas with Rev. Shawn Bitner, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Dean Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.

Harvey was born on March 30, 1936 in Alesworth, Oklahoma to William and Daisy (Post) Spicer. He served his country in the US Army and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dean. Harvey spent his life working as a horse trainer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one son, Danny Spicer of Dawsonville, Georgia; two daughters, Cathy Simmons of Dean, Texas and Carla Johnson and husband Jim of Rotonda, Florida; former wife, Myrna Spicer of Dean, Texas; grandchildren, Eric Simmons and wife Angela, Kyle Spicer and wife Jacki, Wes Schelter, Brent Schelter and wife Shayla, Ashley Nicole Jacobsen; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Stella McKinzie of Houston, Texas, Dollie Beal of Houston, Texas, and Martha Wade of Boswell, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be at Davis Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6:00pm – 7:00pm.
