From new bride Whitney Murin Robinson
Ryan and I met in 2011 at the National Finals Rodeo while I was working out there for Cinch, and he was there helping his friends Trevor Brazile and Tuf Cooper compete at the rodeo. I had recently accepted a job that would move me from Michigan where I grew up, to Texas and as fate would have it, it was about five miles from where Ryan lived.
I grew up showing my whole life, and when I moved to Texas I started training under Terry Cross and Stephen Stephens where I have been ever since. Since Ryan has roped his whole life (team roping, tie-down, and steer roping), the horse show world was a little funny to him, but he has been super supportive helping me chase my dreams.
Our wedding was Sunday November 20th at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort in Sanibel Island Florida. Our groomsman included: Best Man Trevor Brazile, 23X World Champion Cowboy, Tuf Cooper 3X World Champion Tie-Down Roper along with other friends and family. Ever since I have become friends with their group the horse show and roping banter is non stop. I like to tease them that they only have to go fast and catch, and they tease me that all we do is sit there with sparkly jackets. Our wedding date had to be made around the fact that Trevor and Tuf would be competing at the ERA World Finals in Dallas last weekend, and headed to the NFR this week.
From here we are all packing up and heading to Las Vegas for the 2016 NFR. Ryan and I own a marketing company “Big Horse Marketing” and we will be helping some of our clients set up and work their booths at the trade show including Twister Trailers, Outlaw Conversions, and Outlaw Equine Hospital and Rehabilitation.
Congratulations to this new couple!
