AQHA Professional Horsewoman Debbie Cooper was astride world champion ranch riding horse Whizzle For My Spook for a ranch riding clinic August 26 at the Adequan Select AQHA World Championship Show.
This educational opportunity was offered as part of the Ride the Pattern series, presented by Nutrena and hosted by AQHA Professional Horsemen. The clinic offered not only valuable insight from both a competitor and judge’s perspective, but it also gave the attendees an opportunity to win a prize, as Nutrena offered a drawing for free feed to the audience.
“I was asked why I thought ranch riding has become so popular so fast,” Cooper said at the start of the clinic. “I think it’s because it’s fun. It’s fun to do. People enjoy riding it, judges enjoy judging it, and spectators enjoy watching it.”
With that in mind, Cooper offered tips to competitors.
