WACO, Texas – Seeding and match-ups for the 2016 National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championship, as determined by the NCEA Selection Committee, has been announced on Wednesday.
The nation’s top-12 teams will vie for the 2016 NCEA Championship, set to take place April 14-16 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas.
Beginning with the 2014 championship, the top-12 overall teams (Western and Hunt Seat combined) are invited to compete. The NCEA Selection Committee determines and invites these teams based on a number of factors throughout the season. The top-four seeds in the NCEA Championship each receive first-round byes in the 12-team format.
South Carolina is the defending NCEA Champion.

The National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) invites you to attend the upcoming NCEA National Championship hosted by Baylor University in Waco, Texas, at the Extraco Events Center. The National Championship is slated for April 13-16, 2016.
The top-12 nationally ranked teams, as determined by the NCEA selection committee, will compete in head-to-head bracket format over a three day championship. During the Opening Ceremony, student-athletes will be recognized for their academic and athletic contributions. In addition, the first class of NCEA Distinguished Alumni will be introduced to the equestrian community.
The collegiate equestrian national championship is an exciting event with a strong spectator draw.

Wednesday, April 13 – 6 p.m. – Opening Ceremony
Thursday, April 14 – 9 a.m. – Round I
Friday, April 15 – 9 a.m. - Quarterfinals
Saturday, April 16 – 8:30 a.m. – Semifinals; 1:30 p.m. – Championship
