The National Snaffle Bit Association held its annual meeting and also hosted a lecture on Western Pleasure on Sunday, October 19, at the All American Quarter Horse Congress.
During NSBA’s annual meeting, outgoing president Patty Campbell reviewed highlights of her year as president. She noted the addition of the NSBA Breeders Championship Futurity Yearling Sale in 2013, and the increase in yearlings entered and sold in 2014. She also discussed the addition of the Rider’s Cup, which paid $50,000 to participants in its inaugural year in 2014. Campbell officially passed the gavel to 2014-15 President David Dellin.
Executive Director Dianne Eppers provided an association overview, including a report on membership, Trainer Sale enrollment, Stallion Incentive Fund and Breeders Championship Futurity participation.
2014-15 officers were elected and include Dellin, president; Allen Mitchels, president-elect; Bill Cosentino, first vice president; Susan Johns, second vice president; George Shaw, treasurer; Scott Neuman, secretary; and Ron Miller, reporter.
