Neglected Black Forest horses seized, charges to be filed

BLACK FOREST, Colo. – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says eight horses that were found hungry and neglected in Black Forest Friday are being seized from the property. The sheriff’s office also said late Monday that the owner of the horses will face misdemeanor animal cruelty charges. The animals are being moved to a private facility that works with law enforcement on cases like this, and specializes in caring for horses.
