“The news just keeps getting better,” says Paula Diuri about her husband, Benny Guitron. “Yesterday, the doctor told Ben he is in remission. They’re going to keep him on follow-up treatment for two to three years just to make sure, but it’s still great news!”
Last October, Benny Guitron was diagnosed with a common childhood leukemia called acute lymphocytic leukemia. At The 2014 Sun Circuit, the show had a benefit for Benny which raised an impressive $130,000 to help pay for his cancer treatment.
