2014 Buckeye Classic Names Western NSBA Winners
It seemed appropriate on the National Day of the Cowboy that a number of cowboys and cowgirls were recognized for their efforts in Western events at the 2014 Buckeye Classic AQHA and NSBA show at Eden Park in Sunbury, Ohio.
Jay Starnes showed A Lazy Holiday to win the NSBA $1,000 Added Two Year Old Open Western Pleasure for Scott and Andrea Rowland, (pictured at left with Scott Rowland) earning a paycheck of $554.69.
By Lazy Loper and out of Shes On Holiday, the bay stallion also won the Open Two Year Old Western Pleasure at the Tom Powers Triple Challenge Futurity last month.
“He’s fun to ride, and he’s really easy,” Starnes said. “I think he was just very steady during his go.”
