There’s Still Time to Qualify for the Ford Youth World

Get out and show to qualify for the 2014 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show before April 30.

The spring weather is here, which means it is the perfect time to show your American Quarter Horse and earn the last of your points needed to qualify for 2014 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show August 1-9 in Oklahoma City.

The April 30 qualifying deadline is approaching soon. However, there are plenty of shows between now and then to get qualified. Visit www.aqhamembers.org for a full schedule of the locations and dates of shows across the country. A listing of the shows can also be found in the latest edition of The American Quarter Horse Journal, and the digital edition of the April Journal is free.

For exhibitors preparing for shows this spring, be sure to read AQHA Internet Editor Tara Matsler’s blog, “Your Spring Horse-Show Checklist.” Her blog discusses a variety of topics, including how to plot your show season using the online AQHA show calendar, finding your level, as well as test-driving a few practice patterns.

For more information on the Ford Youth World and the number of points required to qualify, visit www.aqha.com/youthworld.
