AQHA Cloning Lawsuit Update

Today, the American Quarter Horse Association filed its Reply Brief to Plaintiffs’ Brief in the cloning lawsuit with the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Click here for a link to the Reply Brief. AQHA is very pleased with the work of its appellate team.

The parties have requested oral argument before a Fifth Circuit panel of judges. Generally, the Fifth Circuit sends out a notice setting oral argument three to four months after the Reply Brief is filed (July-August 2014). The actual oral argument then generally takes place one to two months later (September-October 2014). However, such timeline is dependent on the Fifth Circuit’s schedule and is subject to change. AQHA will continue to keep you updated regarding the appeal.
