The live auction is up and available for bidding at the show in the Equidome at the west end of the concourse at the Sun Circuit. The show will have a Cocktail party on Saturday, February 1st at approximately 5:30 pm to close the silent auction.

The online portion of the auction closed on January 24th, but all the items will still be available to bid on at the show until Saturday. So, if you bid online make sure to keep checking to make sure you still have the highest bid!
Live Event Information: We have a phone line set up for online bidders to check their items during the live event Jan 25th through Feb 1st. Scottsdale, AZ- January 15, 2014 – Friends of Benny Guitron have organized an auction to help with his out-of-pocket medical costs. Now through January 24th, bidders may view the auction online by clicking here. The online portion of the auction will close prior to the live event, hosted at the Arizona Sun Circuit in Scottsdale, AZ, January 25th-February 1st. Items will be located in the North Concourse at WestWorld for the duration of the show. A phone line will be set-up for those not at the show to bid. Live auction and cocktail party will be held February 1st at 4pm, location to be announced.
Auction items include: a breeding to NRCHA #1 Leading Sire One Time Pepto, a Shorty’s 100x custom hat, and a Bob’s custom show saddle. If you have an item you would like to donate, please contact Dana Avila.
As an NRCHA Hall of Fame horseman, Guitron has many titles under his belt. A few he is most proud of are Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Champion, first west coast trainer to win the AQHA Junior Reining and 2009 Magnificent 7. He has taught many youth and amateur riders to win world and all-around titles as well. Benny is known as a historian in the equestrian world, committing to memory pedigree and bloodlines over five decades. He is married and has two adult children and two grandchildren.
Last October, Benny was diagnosed with a common childhood leukemia called acute lymphocytic leukemia. He is receiving treatment at Stanford Medical Facility in hopes of a full recovery. To receive more information on this or other cancers please visit
