From Angie Proctor-Reichert
“To My Dear Family and Friends, Yes, we had a horrible tragedy hit Sunday at 5 am. My dear friends (aka clients) and myself lost 9 of our amazing, loving equine show partners. A thunderstorm hit, and my show barn took a lightening strike to the middle top rafter and the barn burned to the ground. I am very sorry for not returning messages and calls. Due to the unfathomable grief, life is very difficult at the moment! I am just now checking Facebook and seeing the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the equine community. This support makes my heart cry and think that just maybe we can go on after such a tragedy..”
From the Reichert Performance Horse Team
“These brilliant animals, teammates, friends, left us all to soon, but they are not forgotten,” says Eden Owen, one of the owners who lost her horse, Pearl, in the fire. “They will be forever imprinted in our hearts and minds. Thank you to everyone who has helped Reichert Performance Horses through this tragic event.”
A horse gallops with his lungs,
Perseveres with his heart,
And wins with his character.”
