Competitors headed to the SmartPak AQHA West Novice Championship Show or the Nutrena AQHA East Novice Championship Show can now practice and polish patterns slated for showmanship, horsemanship, hunt seat equitation, hunter hack, equitation over fences, working hunter, western riding, trail and reining. The patterns are available for download at www.aqha.com/novicechampionships.
“The Novice Championships are right around the corner and AQHA staff, as well as the AQHA corporate partners are looking ahead to two very positive shows,” said AQHA Executive Director of Shows Patti Carter-Pratt. “Keep in mind that the entry deadline has been extended to September 16, so you still have time to enter.”
“On behalf of AQHA, we want to wish you the best of luck as they make their way to either the Nutrena East or SmartPak West Novice Championship,” said AQHA President Johne Dobbs of Champaign, Illinois. “Exhibitors and their horses have earned the trip, and we hope to see as many competitors there as possible. Last year’s events were fun and competitive, and we’re looking forward to even better shows this year. ”
The Nutrena East Novice Championship is October 1-6 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, while the SmartPak West Novice Championship is October 2-6 in Las Vegas.
Before competitors load up for Murfreesboro or Las Vegas, they’re encouraged to review the health requirements for the show facilities, the Tennessee Miller Coliseum and the South Point Hotel and Casino.
