AQHA Catching Up on Work

A couple weeks ago, AQHA implemented a new plan to temporarily “reassign” AQHA employees to accounting, competition, and the registration and transfer departments to help us get caught up on registrations, transfers, memberships and show results. Overall, we are making great progress.

AQHA employees are working diligently to get all customer paperwork entered and processed as quickly as possible, and we are seeing huge results. In the past two weeks, we have completed the remaining work received from February and March in the accounting department. We anticipate by this time next week, all April batches will be entered and we will be processing May batches Registrations and transfers are currently 64 days out, but just two weeks ago were 92 days out. This, again, thanks to the other staff members in the building who have pitched in to process registrations and transfers.

All memberships and renewals have been processed and we continue to remain current on them. If, however, a membership or renewal is tied to other work, then it will be processed along with that work.? ?Work received with rush fees is being processed and handled on a normal schedule without delays.

At the close of business on May 30, AQHA had received 1,126 of the 1,233 shows held between January 1 and Memorial Day.

Of the 1,126 shows, results for 68.7 percent of them are completed. Depending on the volume of phone calls in the department, the team is able to complete anywhere from 10 to 40 shows per day, with a record 60 shows worked yesterday. We are developing a plan to manage the phone calls and get to a completion rate of between 30 and 40 per day.

Regarding show applications, we are rapidly getting to the date we need to be at with those. Applications received in May and June should be for September and October shows, respectively. Last week, we started entering September, some October and even a couple November shows.

Racing results and tattoos are up to date.

AQHA employees have made great strides in reducing these numbers and have put in many long hours to help get us caught up. They will continue to do so to get back to the point where we are processing our members’ work in as timely a manner as possible.
