AQHA World Champion Western Riding stallion, Hot Impulse (Webster), has been making a name for himself in the breeding arena. The striking 1996 stallion by Impulsions and out of Ms Hot Medicine had 49 performers earning over 1350 points in 2012 alone!
“He stands up straight in the shoulders and his offspring are very durable,” says Webster’s owner, Dick McNair of Claremore, Oklahoma. “He has offspring in every discipline, and they can do anything. They are very smart and love to work. He also has a great disposition, is drop dead gorgeous and has great conformation.”
McNair adds, “Webster has been given a bad reputation as being too hot, but we have found him and his offspring to be just the opposite. Ask any one who owns one–they love them. I also believe the Hot Impulse broodmares are the next great mares. They fix a lot of conformational leg and shoulder problems of other sires.”
Some of his famous offspring include, Investment Hunter, Hot Rockin Rita, Sl Miss Alli, Im Sparkling Hot, A Sparkling Impulse, Ima Hot Time, Call For A Hot Time, and Kamanuwannadance to name a few. His oldest foal crop were foaled out in 2000.
As a sire, “Webster” has 202 registered foals, with an impressive 106 of them with performance records; 86 point earners amassing 8787.5 performance points and 550.5 halter points as October 1st, 2012. He is the sire of 113 performance ROM’s, 12 halter ROM’s, 47 superior performance, two superior halter, six AQHA champions, 212 all arounds, 175 reserve all arounds, eight national high point winners, as well as three reserve high point winners. He has produced the winners of three Open AQHA Reserve World Championships, and one AQHA Youth Reserve World Championship. His foals have amassed over $126,271.20 in the AQHA Incentive Fund, AQHA World Show earnings of over $61,017.30, and $210,177.29 from the National Snaffle Bit Association. As a show horse, Webster earned 111 open performance points, as well as five open halter points through 2010. He was a finalist in the Two Year-Old Western Pleasure at the AQHA World Show in 1998, earned his Open Superior in Western Pleasure in 2000, as well as being a finalist in Jr Western Pleasure at the AQHA World Show, and in 2001 he was the World Champion in Jr Western Riding.
