The Prairie Classic was just held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from February 14th-17th. The judges for the show were Sissy Anderson, Larry Hansch, Lisa Moden, Dean Bogart, Jennifer Leckey, Nancy Renfro, Karen Graham, and Steven Cooper. There were four full shows and special event trail and western riding classes. It was presented by the Kansas Quarter Horse Association.
“The Prairie Classic was a great horse show with a high caliber of competition, large trail and western riding classes and a phenomenal group of knowledgable judges,” says Amateur Competitor Jason Wanderer of Los Angeles, California. “There was also several exhibitors participating in the leveled intermediate and progressive classes.”
Youth exhibitor Kaylee Mellott of Kansas said that the Prairie Classic was a great show with good sized classes and good weather. “I won the circuit champion on my mare Luci (Dam Im Hot) in the showmanship after not showing for a year, and I won the horsemanship and hunter under saddle on my gelding, Only In Showbiz, (Juan) yesterday! I’m excited to be showing Juan in the all-around classes this year.”
