AQHA Hall of Fame Inductee Merrill to Direct Bob Moore Farms

AQHA Past President Frank Merrill is joining Bob Moore Farms as manager of Bob Moore Farms Group. Merrill, a 2013 American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame inductee and Oklahoma Quarter Horse Hall of Fame member, took over farm group operations in November 2012.

“Bob Moore was not only a mentor to me, but a father figure,” Frank Merrill said. “This is a great job but it comes with great challenges, which we’re excited to take on due to our respect and relationship to the Moore family. We look forward to Bob Moore Farms returning to the highest standards of excellence in every facet of our operations.”

Merrill, who’s been in the horse business since he was 19, may be uniquely qualified to lead Bob Moore Farms. In his 50-plus year career, he has owned, managed or syndicated more than 95 stallions and cared for more than 25,000 mares. He has bred, owned and raised champion American Quarter Horses that have won honors in racing, cutting, reining, reined cow horse, roping, halter, and other events, including two American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame horses – Miss Jim 45 and Royal Santana.
