October 17, 2012 marks the fourth anniversary of Alex Blackwood’s death. Alex was 19 years old and passed away during the 2008 Congress. Please take a moment to remember the young man who touched many people’s lives during his short time with us.
Good friend, Tate Oakley, had this to say Wednesday.
“There are no words that can ever express how
much you’re missed. Whether it’s riding a horse, huntin’ deer, shootin’
ducks or just hangin’ out. You are in everyone of our minds everyday and
always looking down from above when we most need you. I remember this
day 4 years ago like it happened yesterday and I will never go one day
without thinking about you. Rest in Peace Alex Blackwood.”
Kyndal Knowles, who bares a tattoo with Peace, Love, ASB remembered Alex Wednesday as well.
“Four years ago, the world lost a legend. There’s not a day that goes by
that I don’t miss my sweet friend. He taught all of us to love
unconditionally and to never take anything or anyone for granted. I
would give anything in this world to see that smile again. I love and
miss you Alex Blackwood!!!”
Marissa Dalton remembered Alex with these words.
“4 years ago today I lost one of my best friends. An
amazing man who inspired me to do what I loved and that working hard is the
only way to achieve success. He touched so many people’s lives inside and
outside the horse show industry and will never be forgotten. He will always be
in our hearts and never be forgotten. I miss you so much can’t wait to see you
again one day. RIP Alex Blackwood”
