GoHorseShow would like to wish horse trainer, Rawhide Blackwell, of Loranger, Louisiana on a speedy recovery after a horse related injury. A horse flipped over on him breaking his hip, femur, and pelvis.
“I was in tears after reading all the posts full of love and prayers,” says, Rawhide’s wife, Sally, on her Facebook page. “We can’t thank each of you enough. Surgery is planned for nine this morning. Have to put in a rod and screws, maybe a plate. Top of femur has a spiral fracture and is in seven pieces. Pelvis is cracked but hip socket is intact. I am grateful that he’s alive and not paralyzed. Thank God.”
GoHorseShow will update you on how we can help Rawhide recover from his injuries. The Blackwell family are in our prayers.
