Mayor to Welcome Quarter Horse Congress to Columbus with Parade

Mayor Michael B. Coleman, City Council President Andrew J. Ginther, Franklin County Commissioners President Paula Brooks, Experience Columbus President and CEO Paul Astleford and others will welcome the All American Quarter Horse Congress to Downtown, Columbus.

For the first time in the history of the forty-six year annual event, elected officials will bring Quarter Horse Congress executives, horses and participants downtown for a lively parade. Mayor Coleman, City Council President Ginther and Franklin County Commissioners President Brooks, along with OQHA Executive Director Dr. Scott Myers and NBC 4 local TV traffic and entertainment reporter Monica Day, will ride Quarter Horses from Columbus Commons, on High St and Broad St, ending in front of City Hall for remarks and a dedication ceremony.
