Daughter of RL Best Of Sudden and Green Win Two Year Old Class

Congratulations to Rusty Green and Snap Krackle Pop, winner of the Equine Sports Medicine Two Year Old Western Pleasure Challenge at the Reichert Celebration. This talented two year-old gray mare is by RL Best Of Sudden out of Brandys Silver Shiek. The mare who was bred by Masterson Farms, LLC and owned by Ray Arnona of Gretna, Louisiana had three firsts and a third in placings to come out on top.

Green brought home a check for $50,000 and this gray mare is the ninth horse to have won this prestigious event. This year is the 14th Anniversary of the Reichert Celebration. The Reserve Championship went to three-time Reichert Two Year-Old Challenge winner, Jay Starnes and VS Flatline.

This event is being held in Fort Worth, Texas for the second time this year and this class is a premiere showcase for two year-olds that have not been showed under saddle prior to this event. Only slot owners are permitted to nominate horses for this event. Twenty-two horses were registered to compete with a total of 18 actually showing in the class. There were 12 horses that came back to the finals—six from each cut. The judges for the class were Brett Clark (tie-breaker judge) of South Dakota, John Boxell of Illinois, and Debbie and Bob Kail of Arizona. If one of the Reichert Stakes sale horses wins, there is also a $225,000 bonus to that horse and owner. There was also a $5,000 bonus to the highest placing new slot owner. Twenty-six people also qualified for the Kiefer three horse aluminum trailer give-away where Erin Heckaman turned the key and won!
