Rodrock Candids and Results from Gordyville

The February 18th and 19th Gordyville Show was just as big as the first February show with 330 stalls and 590 entries per judge totaling 1,770. Marv Kapushion, Casey and April Devitt officiated.

“The judges commented how deep the pleasure classes were and the level of competition,” Jody Quiram told GoHorseShow. “The reining was well supported as many showed up to prepare their horses for next month’s NRHA Gordyville Breeders Derby and Wimpys Little Step Derby which paid out over $240,000 in 2011.”

Youth Exhibitor Cori Flowers said that the classes were very good sized. Cori’s mount, Moe, shined in the showmanship where they picked up 11 points.

“Overall, there were great numbers, and it was nice to have good competition. The most fun event was watching all the great pleasure horses: Lakins’, Leckey’s and Hornick’s all had great stock and the classes were steep.”

The next big event at Gordyville is the Indiana/Gordyville eight judged AQHA show March 22-25. They still have stalls available. Call 217-568-7117 or visit www.gordyvilleusa.com for more information.
