There was some quick-change action August 9 at the 2011 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show.Theresa Moran had qualified all of her three horses for the finals in western riding, and there were bridles to change, outfits to switch, and spurs to either leave on or take off.
Longtime AQHYA exhibitor Christopher Luba walked out with a world championship in what might have been the largest showmanship class in Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show history. He won with his talented all-around red roan gelding Good For The Ladys, a John Narmont-bred son of Zippos Mr Good Bar and out of Some Patent Lady by Zippo Pat Bars.

Mierzejewski of Mt. Sterling, Ohio is wrapping up competing at the AQHYA World
Show with her new horse, Some Hot Potential. But right before leaving for Oklahoma City, Bailey competed at the Madison County Fair and showed a horse, heifer, dairy cow, goat, lamb, hog, rabbit,
and a duck. All her hard work preparing paid off because she won the
competition and was named the 2011 Grand Showman of Showmen.

AQHA will implement new rules and procedures at the
2011 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show. Do you know what they are? In the trail, western riding and reining classes at the Ford Youth World, a new policy will allow 15 horses to advance to a shoot out round. Additionally, AQHA will recognize the top three Intermediate exhibitors in each class at all four of its world championship shows.
