Allocate Your Assets’ Foals Shine at the 2011 Congress

Allocate Your Assets (Al) would like to congratulate all of his foals and their owners on their incredible success at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress, held in Columbus, Ohio, October 7-30. Al not only sired his first Congress Champion, during the 2011 show, but he also ended up siring five Congress Champions, ranging from the Two Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle Masters, to 11 and Under Youth Hunter Under Saddle, to the Junior Hunter Hack Champion. In addition to his five Congress Champions, Al also sired four Reserve Congress Champions and 18 top ten finishers. This is an extraordinary achievement, considering that Allocate Your Assets oldest foal crop is only five-years-old.

Allocate Your Assets’ first, and second, Congress Championship was won by Resurrection, owned by Marshia Musick. “Rezur” jumped his way to two Congress Championships in Junior Hunter Hack and Progressive Working Hunter with Ryan Painter in the irons. Al’s second champion was, in fact, his first-born foal, Al Be Sweet On You. Al Be Sweet On You, a five year-old gelding, won the 11 and Under Hunter Under Saddle with Taylor Searles. The duo also placed fourth in the 13 and Under Western Riding and third in the Novice Youth 13 and Under Hunter Under Saddle. Al’s foals proved to be very successful youth mounts, dominating the Novice Youth 13 and Under Hunter Under Saddle Class, with three of his foals in the top five, including the Reserve Congress Champion, Al I Want Is You. This achievement is a true testament to how good-minded Allocate Your Assets foals are, considering all of these horses are still junior horses.

The open hunter under saddle futurities were also dominated by Allocate Your Assets foals, highlighted by Beautiful Maiden and Al Be Graceful’s one and two finish in the Three Year-Old Open Hunter Under Saddle Futurity and Lastcallfour Alcohol’s win in the Two Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle Masters. Shown by Deanna Searles, Lastcallfour Alcohol earned $50,000 for his win in the signature class.

Al also had two more foals in the top ten of this premiere event: Al Be Back, owned by Skylar Pickard, placed seventh, and Wheres My Alimony, owned by Gabriella Salamone, placed tenth. In addition to these champions, Al also sired the Reserve Congress Champion in the Two Year-Old Limited Open, Three Year-Old Limited Open, as well as two of the top five finishers in the Two Year-Old Open Hunter Under Saddle Futurity.

One special highlight of the Congress was Mary Huddleston, and her horse, Assets in an Artbeat, placing sixth in Novice Youth 14-18 Hunter Under Saddle. Mary has been bravely dealing with a second bout of a rare type of bone cancer known as Ewing’s Sarcoma. Even though she was unable to ride her horse, “Ralphie,” since July, Mary was determined to ride at the Congress. Her courage and strength has been an inspiration to everyone. Everyone associated with Allocate Your Assets would like to congratulate Mary on her top ten finish and extend their wishes for her speedy recovery.
