The 2011 AQHA World Show Sale is offering a new session with premium presentation to all pleasure and halter horse sellers, in addition to the standard sessions. The World Salebration session will build on its success last year, which boasted an average sale price of $12,456.
The new World Salebration sessions are open to all sellers for pleasure and halter horses. These sessions give you the opportunity to provide your best horses with a premium presentation that will help them bring top dollar. Each horse will be featured on two full-color pages in the main World Sale catalog, with one color page for the pedigree plus one full page for a color photo or extra information on your horse. If the number of Salebration entries is sufficient, the sessions will be offered on both days. World Salebration horses will receive priority advertising. The consignment fee is $750, which includes a $75 fee for World Sale Bonus Plan.
The World Show Sale will offer the standard format sessions for working horses, pleasure horses and halter horses. The consignment fee for those sessions remains at $575, which includes the $75 fee for World Sale Bonus Plan.
In 2010, western pleasure yearlings averaged $10,846. The average was up 89 percent and the median price was up 64 percent. The 2010 World Show Sale had the highest average price and the highest completed sales rate of any major yearling auction.
The sale commission and no-sale commission remain at the same rate. However, there is a new lower maximum limit of $500 for no-sales.
Back for 2011 are the breeders and trainers highlight promotional packages, which gives you more promotion for your money. These packages are available in all sessions for consignments of 10 or more horses from the same consignor or breeder. Your group will be featured separately in ads, previews and emails. You have the option to sell all of your horses consecutively. You may put part of the group in the World Salebration session and part of the group in the standard session. We can link to your website for additional exposure.
The World Sale Bonus Plan now pays to the seller an award of 20 percent of what a horse earns in the plan. Horses that have sold through the World Show Sale and place in the top 10 at the Adequan Select, Bank of America Amateur and the FedEx Open world championship shows are eligible for cash awards.
