AQHA judge Laura Gilmer and GoHorseShow editor and writer has set up a ChipIn account where people can go and donate money to help the victims of the tornadoes. Friends of the Pelletier Family whose life was turned upside down a few weeks ago from tornadoes set up one of these accounts, and it was very successful. ANY amount is appreciated, and we will distribute it among all the victims in need. I understand everyone is probably stretched thin these days, but even a few dollars add up and make a difference! I’m trying to raise a minimum of $7,500 so we can give each family at least $2500 each! Donate any money you can. If you would like to designate the money to a particular family–we will make sure the money gets to the particular family. Either email me at [email protected] and let me know where you would like your money to go or you can also add a note to your donation on the Chip In site. Otherwise, the money will be split among the three farms. Thanks everyone!!

5/10/11: Note from Amateur Jean Brooks–We went on Saturday and it was a real eye opener. We found Retta in good spirits and did not get to talk with Donna. All of the donations are needed – it is an absolute disaster. They are working hard to salvage all they can but how do you replace large oaks? They lost all of their trees……………..The money you are helping to raise will be much needed and much appreciated.
