A total of 1,512 members of the American Quarter Horse Youth Association have qualified for the 2011 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show. The event is August 5-13 at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City. The Ford Youth World is the world’s largest single-breed horse show for youth.
The qualifying period for the 2011 Ford Youth World began May 1, 2010, and ended April 30, 2011.
For the 2011 Ford Youth World, performance halter geldings has the largest number of national qualifiers at 139, while ranch sorting has 132 national qualifiers. To check your points, visit www.aqhamembers.org.
At the 2011 Ford Youth World exhibitors from almost every state, several Canadian provinces and a handful of countries across the globe will compete for a custom-designed trophy, Montana Silversmiths buckle, neck wreath, gold medallion, logoed Cripple Creek jacket, Professional’s Choice product, WeatherBeeta embroidered blanket and the honor of being named a youth world champion.
The Ford Youth World exhibitors will have plenty to see and do in Oklahoma City when not in the ring competing for world champion honors in the 33 equine events.
The trade show, located in the spacious Cox Pavilion, features great booths for exhibitors who love to shop.
