The 2010 AQHA World Championship Show sale events begin November 17 with the performance horse preview at 9 a.m. in Barn 3 and the roping horse preview immediately following the senior heeling prelims in the Jim Norick arena.

Three original horse portraits by American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame member Orren Mixer are also being offered during the sale:
- Paul A, 1948 black stallion by Star Deck and out of Little Dixie Beach by Tommy Clegg, one of the breed’s first AQHA Champions. (Offered by Aubrey May)
- Goldseeker Bars, a 1962 sorrel stallion by Three Bars (TB) and out of Spanish Joy by Spanish Nick, who earned his open AQHA Supreme Champion award in 1973. This painting is framed in its original Mixer frame. (Offered by Darrel Henry)
- Red Wimpy, a 1955 sorrel stallion by Wimpy and out of La Queen by Tomate Laureles, bred by the King Ranch Inc. and owned at one time by Rex Cauble. The painting includes Rex’s beloved dogs. (Offered by Reynolds Moreland III)
