I spoke directly with Trey’s
sister, Tena Collier today who is well known to many for the wonderful work
that she does to help horses, animals, and people in need in our industry
through her large network of friends and industry notables. Tena could not believe
how promptly the horse show “family” and community have responded to
this tragedy. She is very grateful for the support. I have also
received emails of love and support for the family through my [email protected] email
box. This is truly heartwarming and overwhelming.
Updates on the family sound
encouraging, and I am pleased to report that Trey’s mom, Cindy, is out of ICU
as of a few hours ago, and is in a regular room. Cindy can receive cards, flowers, gifts, and
well wishes; however Trey can only receive cards and gifts – no balloons or
flowers at this time, please:

Tena gave me an update on
everyone’s conditions. Trey remains in
critical, yet stable condition; Cindy has been stepped down as of a few hours
ago from ICU to a regular roomJ Scooby is still at Lebanon Equine under
observation but doing well and has been turned out. He is eating, drinking and working to recover
from his stitches and abrasions. Cinch,
the dog is home and happy with thankfully no injuries. Paul II, Tena, and her son, Trevor all
received stitches in their foreheads, but were released the same evening. This is a family who has been changed
forever, so let’s continue to pray for all involved.
